Black XS Live Sound UK with Kerrang

Once you’ve uploaded your track, our moderators will approve the content of the
song before making it available for fans to listen to. We’ve got some of the rock world’s biggest insiders onboard who will pick the four finalists from all the entrants.
These lucky four bands will follow the mentoring scheme that will get them in rock star shape for the Ultimate Black XS Battle Of The Bands contest, which will take place at London’s Gibson Studios on November 16.
The very same judges will then have the difficult task of deciding on the winning band at the Ultimate Black XS Battle Of The Bands contest.

Judging Line Up

Here are the industry experts you’ll need to impress…

Craig Jennings

Craig Jennings Raw Power Management / Search And Destroy Records

Craig ‘CJ’ Jennings is one of the UK’s most influential music managers and his current roster reads like a veritable who’s who of rock. As well as representing the likes of Gallows, Bullet For My Valentine, and Funeral For A Friend, CJ also heads up Search And Destroy Records, whose first release - Fightstar’s album, Be Human - recently debuted at Number 20 on the UK album charts.

Paul Brannigan

Paul Brannigan Editor, Kerrang! Magazine

Paul became K!’s Editor in 2005, after he started writing for the magazine in 1994 and held a number of Section Editor positions in the office. The thing Paul loves most about his job? Being able to direct readers towards bands that could change their lives, just like K! did for him when he was growing up, and rubbing shoulders with his teenage heroes – AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Metallica.

Daniel J Lane

Daniel J Lane Editor, www.kerrang.com

Daniel began his career when he was just 14 years old and started interviewing bands for his own fanzine. After starting out officially as a Press Officer for bands including System Of A Down and Korn, he joined Kerrang! in 2005. Career highlights so far? Hanging out at Phil Anselmo’s house, going to dinner with Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee and getting make-up tips from MCR’s Gerard Way. Nice!
